In this storm
The whole city
Has been taken by the sea
A terrible groaning fills the air
And wave after wave like
Billows of the sea that strike
That craggéd rock
The wind rushes in at great speed
Light flickers from the fire
Reflected in your pale skin
Had you not been the one
To lead the role of the cause of all things
The east wind
Grows angry
Striking our city
Like foreign raiders
That will not tire
And yet even now I fear
He rages in a quiet voice
And we await yet fiercer stuff
Now rain pours in this storm
With a force as though it had
The desire to turn land to sea
